Third Edition of Coffee Table Picture Book Celebrates Women of Surrey

Surrey, BC – The third edition of Stranger Story, a compelling video podcast and book series founded by Phalak Betab, has been officially launched, spotlighting the strength, resilience, and remarkable contributions of women in Surrey. This special edition of the coffee table picture book features powerful visuals of these women holding boards inscribed with impactful community messages, offering a tribute to their dedication and influence.

Stranger Story has gained international recognition through its first two editions, which shared inspiring stories of individuals from around the world who overcame challenges to inspire others. Now, the focus shifts to the women of Surrey—leaders, change-makers, and community pillars who embody the spirit of one of Canada’s largest municipalities.

Phalak Betab, the founder and CEO of Stranger Story, expressed her enthusiasm for this latest chapter in the series. “The third edition of Stranger Story is special because it not only captures the essence of women in Surrey but also serves as an inspiration for women across the world. These women are making a difference in their communities, and I wanted their voices to be heard and celebrated in a way that’s both unique and impactful.”

Betab’s initiative has evolved from a small idea into a powerful movement, highlighting real people making meaningful contributions. With a population of approximately 350,000, Surrey is home to a diverse and vibrant community where women play a crucial role in shaping its growth and development.

This edition of Stranger Story continues to uphold the project’s mission—celebrating resilience, empowerment, and the human spirit through storytelling. Readers can access the E-edition of this inspiring book on the official Stranger Story website at https://strangerstory.ca.
