Surrey, BC – Surrey’s most electric celebration of South Asian culture is back and bigger than ever. From June 7–14, 2025, 5X Fest returns to Surrey and Vancouver with a powerful lineup of events honouring 20 years of the Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration (VIBC) and its evolution as a festival into the cultural force it is today.
Now in its 8th year as 5X, the festival continues to be a platform for Panjabi music, art, and culture that resonates far beyond the local community. What began as a celebration of bhangra has transformed into a global movement rooted in community, creativity, and cultural pride.
The 2025 edition kicks off an evening of celebration and reflection at the 5X 20th Anniversary event, as we mark 20 years of VIBC’s profound impact on the cultural landscape. This momentous occasion is an opportunity to reflect on our past achievements while unveiling our ambitious vision for the future. The week continues with signature events like 5X Art Party, 5X Blockparty, and 5X Afterparty, along with exclusive gatherings such as 5X Access, an industry showcase presented by 91 North Records, a collaboration between Warner Music Canada and Warner Music India.
Hosted by Parmvsthewrld and Neeti Sharma, the flagship 5X Blockparty is the ultimate celebration of Panjabi music and culture. This outdoor event features an incredible lineup of artists, including Talwiinder in his debut British Columbia performance, a special showcase set by the iconic Gminxr (with special guests), G Sidhu’s first-ever 5X appearance, rising local talent Sahil Cheema, and electrifying DJ sets from the viral UK duo Panjabi Hit Squad and fan-favourite MTooray.
