Over two decades, Monika Verma has been serving the community through social services. Those who know her have called her Mother Teresa, a Saint and a Gentle Soul. She can be spotted feeding the homeless, organizing food and clothing drives, providing livelihood and helping the most vulnerable. Her passion for community service began at very young age of 9 when she donated her savings of coins in a jar and involved her neighborhood to do the same for Jerry Lewis Telethon. Monika Verma joined Lookout Society formerly known as Keys: Housing and Health Solutions as Health Programs Director with a wealth of knowledge and over 20years’ experience managing nonprofit organizations. In her current role as Health Programs Director, Monika oversees the Health Solutions portfolio including the Lookout Mobile Health Outreach Van, Dental Clinic, and the Surrey North Community Health Centre, Harm Reduction Department, Other Women’s Lives program, HIV Food Bank and HIV/HEPC drop in Centre.
