“Imagine slowly losing the ability to see the faces of your loved ones, see the beauty of the world, perform simple daily tasks, or earn your living. Now imagine this is your reality just because you cannot afford a surgery that could restore your sight. For millions in India, this is the heartbreaking truth they live with every day.
But, at Friends for Cause Foundation’s (FFCF) 12th Annual Charity Dinner, we have the power to change that! Join us on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, for The Joy of Giving at the Grand Empire Banquet Hall in Surrey, starting at 6:00 PM, for an unforgettable evening of live performances, a cultural fashion show, and a delicious Indian vegetarian buffet.
India has the highest number of blind people in the world, with 80% of cases being preventable. Last year, we provided over 3,000 free cataract surgeries, and since our start in 2011, we’ve delivered over 10,000 life-changing surgeries. Eye-care has the highest ROI of any charitable work, profoundly impacting individuals, families, and communities.
This year, we aim to provide another 3,100 surgeries and launch our groundbreaking Vision on Wheels pilot project, which will deliver mobile eye-care to rural villages, serving 30,000+ people annually.
Be part of this meanigful cause by joining us at The Joy of Giving. Each ticket purchased helps give someone the Gift of Sight and restores hope, and additional donations or sponsorships will multiply the impact. All funds raised go directly to the cause, as FFCF has a unique no overheads and no salaries model, with the organization and events being run wholly by volunteers.
