RICHMOND, B.C.—September 15, 2026—The BC Lions are returning as Presenting Sponsor of Inclusion in Motion, a 1KM Walk and Family Festival bringing families, friends, and community members together to raise funds for autistic individuals across BC, while also promoting acceptance and meaningful inclusion.
Now in its second year, Inclusion in Motion is co-hosted by the Autism Support Network (ASN), Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN), and Growing Together (GT), three organizations dedicated to empowering autistic and otherwise neurodivergent individuals and their families.
The BC Lions will bring some football fun to the event, with families having the chance to snap photos with the BC Lions mascot, Leo, and take part in a football-themed activity station designed to get everyone moving, playing, and cheering together.
The event is designed to offer something for everyone. Participants can register for the 1KM Walk, come out to cheer on walkers, or enjoy the Family Festival, which is free and open to everyone.
Event Highlights Include:
• An inclusive 1KM walk around the grounds of the Pacific Autism Family Network. • Official walker bib, finish line medal, and a starter pack of Growing Together Bucks for registered walkers to use at the festival.
• Face painting, carnival games with prizes, family activities, and entertainment. • Photo opportunities with BC Lions mascot Leo.
• Food trucks, including Gourmet Grub and Kono Ice.
• Community organizations and service providers giving families an opportunity to discover local resources and learn more about topics including first responder safety and supports available in their community.
