On April 12th, 2025, Ontario residents joined hands as dedicated volunteers of the global non-profit organization Dr. Shri. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP), undertaking Adopt-A-Park cleanup drive in collaboration with the City of Ottawa at McNabb Park, 435 Bronson Ave, Ottawa, ON K1R 6J6.
This cleanliness drive by DSNDP drew 10 volunteers who collected 14 large size bags of trash, resulting in the removal of approximately 210 pounds of waste from McNabb Park.
In alignment with the motto “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The world is one family), DSNDP aims to foster a brighter future by advocating for cleanliness drives in collaboration with the Canadian government by undertaking nationwide cleanliness drives since April 2023. These activities are executed under the guidance of the founders of the organization Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari.
Following the recent Adopt-A-Park drive in Ottawa, DSNDP is set to continue its nationwide cleanliness efforts with upcoming Adopt-A-Road and Adopt-A-Park clean-up drives in Niagara Falls. These initiatives are scheduled to take place three times this year at each location, in collaboration with the City of Niagara. In recognition of its efforts, DSNDP was honoured with the Civic Pride Award 2024 by the City of Niagara Falls. DSNDP has planned 22 cleanliness drives across 10 cities in Ontario for 2025.
As part of its initiatives, DSNDP has successfully organized clean-up drives across 10 cities, engaging 520 volunteers who relentlessly worked for more than 798 volunteer hours, resulting in the disposal of approximately 10,800 pounds of waste in total. Programs like Adopt-A-Park, Adopt-A-Highway, and Adopt-A-Road have been accomplished multiple times throughout Ontario. The organization has also been actively involved in tree plantation and conservation initiatives with an aim of fostering a balanced ecosystem and promoting environmental sustainability. In Mississauga, tree plantation events were organized twice in 2023, during which 300 trees were planted. Additionally, DSNDP has also collaborated with the Canadian Blood Services to organize Plasma Donation drives in July 2022, October 2023, and November 2024.
