The Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP), a global non-profit organization
dedicated to humanitarian service, has teamed up with Canadian Blood Services to address the
ongoing need for plasma donations in Ontario. The plasma drive is being held on November 8th
and 9th at the Vaughan Plasma Donation Center, marking DSNDP’s third consecutive year
supporting blood and plasma donations in Canada.
Guided by founders Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari,
DSNDP mobilized a significant number of volunteers and donors. The two day drive saw an
impressive 50 donors, leading to the collection of around 30,000 ml of blood plasma. The
Vaughan Plasma Donor Centre, located at 200 Windflower Gate in Woodbridge, serves as the
venue for this essential initiative.
On November 8th, Vaughan city councillor Chris Ainsworth and on November 9th Member of
the Parliament Francesco Sorbara attended the drive to show their support and applaud
DSNDP’s efforts to help tackle the plasma shortage. They thanked DSNDP for working with
Canadian Blood Services for this noble cause of saving lives. They also thanked all the volunteers
who came forward to donate plasma. This collaboration reflects DSNDP’s dedication to public
health and grassroots support for Canadian Blood Services’ mission.
Globally, DSNDP engages over 5 million followers in diverse social initiatives, spanning 23
countries with activities such as environmental conservation, health awareness, education, and
community services. In Canada alone, DSNDP’s efforts have engaged 629 volunteers, resulting
in over 1,200 hours dedicated to community clean-ups, collecting 15,000 pounds of waste, and
planting 300 trees.
This plasma drive underscores the power of community-led solutions and partnerships in
supporting public health objectives and addressing critical supply needs.
