Karen Dosanjh, Vice-President, Marketing at OSI Digital


Karen is trailblazer in the Marketing, Public Relations & Communications industry in Canada. Throughout her remarkable 30-year career, Karen has overcome both gender and cultural barriers to reach new heights in the business & technology sector. She serves as the Vice-President, Marketing at OSI Digital and leads the global marketing strategy for the leading AI & digital transformation solutions provider. Karen is a force to be reckoned with in Canada’s technology sector and was instrumental in the launch of three successful tech start-ups throughout her career. In 2023, Karen was named a BC Business “Women of the Year” in the “Entrepreneurial Leader” category and is the first woman of Punjabi heritage to be featured on the cover of the magazine. In 2024, Karen was named a finalist for the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in the Business & Professions Category. Recognized nationally, the Woman of Distinction Awards is one of the longest running recognition programs for women and honours extraordinary women who are breaking new ground as leaders in business and in the community in Canada. In 2025, Karen Dosanjh was named a Top 20 South Asian Influencer in Vancouver by Urban Asia.


Karen volunteered her time & talents to Author a book and Co-produce a documentary film that gives voice to the early settler migration experiences of South Asians in Canada. In May 2020, she wrote Untold Stories: The South Asian Pioneer Experience in BC, which shines the light on the experience of the first wave of Sikh settlers from India to Canada in the early 1900s. In 2022, Karen partnered with SikhLens to produce a film, Hidden Histories: The Sikh Migration Path to Canada. She is now having an impact around the world with the film’s releases in Canada, US, India, and the UK. Through her work with BC schools, her book is now part of curriculum in schools in Surrey, BC. Karen has worked tirelessly to bring South Asian history to students who greatly benefit from culturally significant content in their classrooms. In 2021, she was nominated for the Order of British Columbia in by BC school teachers for her work in preserving history for the benefit of BC’s youth. In October 2023, Karen was honoured with the Darpan Magazine Extraordinary Achievement Award in the Heritage Defender category for her commitment to preserving South Asian culture & heritage in Canada.


On a personal note, helping others rise along with her is part of Karen’s DNA and she pays it forward through mentorship by helping create space for young women in business and tech. In 2018, she established the first-ever GE Women’s Network in BC to help women break into careers in the technology sector. Karen also regularly serves as a keynote speaker, delegate, and panelist at SFU’s Beedie School of Business, UBC’s Sauder School of Business and BC high schools. Karen serves on the Board of Advisors and as media spokesperson for the Be the Light Society which aims to elevate, educate, and connect South Asian women and girls in Canada and raises funds for scholarships for students in financial need. In 2022, Karen was named a 2022 Women of Options Gamechangers who committed to help raise $1.5 M for at-risk youth in our community. Karen supports Options because levelling the playing field for all marginalized youth in our community matters to her.
