The Society of Punjabi Engineers and Technologists of British Columbia (SPEATBC) recently held a Special General Body Meeting that marked the formal beginning of planning for its 2026 calendar, including the 31st Annual SPEATBC Gala, new sponsorship partnerships, and the launch of its annual student scholarship program.
The meeting served as a moment of reflection and forward planning, with members focusing on SPEATBC’s role in supporting professional growth, mentorship, and educational access within the engineering and technology community.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was confirmation of details for the 31st Annual SPEATBC Gala, scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Grand Empire Banquet Hall in Surrey. The gala remains one of the organization’s most anticipated events, bringing together professionals, families, and community members for an evening of recognition, cultural performances, networking, and celebration. Proceeds from the event directly support SPEATBC’s scholarship and mentorship initiatives.
