On May 20, 2026, WCC, in partnership with Lark Group and ICT Group, officially broke ground on City Centre 5, Surrey’s first purpose-built on-campus student housing residence, located in the rapidly growing Health and Technology District in Surrey, British Columbia.
This milestone reflects WCC’s long-term commitment to student success, wellbeing, and creating a truly supportive learning environment for both domestic and international students. As we continue to grow, we recognize that access to safe, high-quality, and student-focused housing is an essential part of the overall student experience.
The new 23-storey residence will feature:
- 810 student beds
- Studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom accommodations
- Study rooms and collaborative spaces
- Fitness and recreation facilities
- Indoor and outdoor lounges
- Communal kitchens and dining areas
- Convenient access to transit, healthcare, retail, and dining
Strategically located beside Surrey Memorial Hospital and steps away from King George SkyTrain Station, the residence will place students at the center of one of British Columbia’s fastest-growing education and healthcare corridors.
This project is another step forward in WCC’s vision of building an integrated live–learn ecosystem where students can thrive academically, socially, and professionally. It also strengthens our ability to support students arriving from around the world with a more secure and enriching educational journey in Canada.
We deeply value the trust and support of our media partners, who continue to play a critical role in helping WCC and its offerings reach a wider audience. We are excited about what this development means for the future of our students and institution, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
